The Knavesmire Manor Hotel, an elegant Georgian Manor House built in 1833, was once the home of the Rowntree family and has accommodated many prominent figures from the 19th and 20th centuries. The reception rooms and main bedrooms still retain many of the original features and it is easy to imagine this beautiful building in all its historical splendor. The Knavesmire Manor Hotel, is one of the few remaining privately owned hotels in York and is still family run, taking pride in offering a personal friendly service to all our guests.
